⭐ Note (2025–2026 road works): Passo Valparola had a planned road closure from ~15 Sep – 29 Nov 2025 for improvements, including adding a bike lane, with limited access on some event days.

• Temperatures at ~2,200 m often linger near or below 0 °C outside peak season. 

• Layer up: Winds and temperatures can be cold even in summer.
• Always carry a light waterproof jacket and arm/leg warmers for descents. 
• Sun can be strong — wear sunscreen and UV protection.

• Start early morning to avoid heat, traffic (especially August), and afternoon storms.
